Money-smart kids: Friday Night Parents
Children often take money for granted. If no one teaches them good money habits from a young age, they may end up with poor money management skills, in debt and with worries about their money. As tweens and teens ask for more pocket money and allowances, what is a wise approach? How can we prepare them for adult life? David Flowers offers some tips and principles for raising money-smart kids and shares some personal experiences of the ups and downs of kids and money.David is a qualified financial advisor of 25 years' experience and a frequent speaker on money matters. He leads Wharfedale Vineyard with his wife Alison and they have two sons who are now students. Money Smart Kids was at Friday Night Parents 7.30-9.30pm on 9th October 2009. We meet on the sofas upstairs at the Vineyard Centre. |
