The Ministry of the Kingdom course
The second course on God's Kingdom, from the School of Ministry, called "The Ministry of the Kingdom", written by Gary Best, National Team Leader for Vineyard Churches, Canada will begin on Tuesday 11 May. The course will run on five evenings, from 8 to 10pm.
Gary's teaching will inspire and transform you. Building on "The Nature of the Kingdom" course, the Ministry course gets down to the nitty-gritty of ministering to people in God's power, to become naturally supernatural. God's Kingdom is near, everywhere we are, at any time of the day, or so we are told.
But how do we turn our general sense of God's presence into concrete demonstrations of God's power at work? How do we minister to people on the bus, in the street, in the office, confident that something will happen as a result of our prayer? How can we get heaven into people, and not just people into heaven? These are the kind of questions covered by the course.
The course is accredited through the Vineyard Biblical Institute, and when you register for it you will be offered the opportunity to gain credits towards a School of Ministry Certificate in Kingdom Theology by completing an on-line multiple choice questionnaire, though this is entirely voluntary.
The third course in the Certificate, called "The Implications of the Kingdom", will begin on Tuesday the 8th of May, and the first course, "The Nature of the Kingdom", on Thursday morning the 6th of May. Each of these courses will be repeated in the autumn.
Each session will begin with about 45 minutes of a DVD of Gary Best's teaching, then a break with refreshments, then 45 - 50 minutes of discussion and debate in various formats, facilitated by Erik Peeters.
We will charge a fee of £20, which will cover the cost of the course booklet, the on-line administration, and refreshments. You can pay in advance by contacting the office or pay on the day.
