Opportunities

Praying

Prayer is important in our community. We value being a group of people who pray and depend upon God and not our own collective skills and abilities. We pray at every opportunity when we gather be it on Sundays or in housegroups or whenever.

What does the bible say? why is it important?

Here are some ways in which you can join in (although we encourage you to pray on a regular basis on your own too):

  1. Reach Out Global Prayer. On the first weekend of each month, we meet in a local house for breakfast from 8.45am until 10am to pray for people going on trips to minister to other people in other places and for the projects in other places that we have links with.
  2. We encourage individuals to meet in twos or threes to pray regularly for each other and for our community.
  3. We encourage bandsatwork to form in the workplaces of our people.
  4. At the beginning of each Academic and new year we have a time of prayer and fasting.
  5. From time to time we set up a multi-sensory prayer environment. It is set up for a period of time to allow people to spend an extended time engaged in private prayer, with the help of installations and various expressive media.

If you would like to establish a time to pray together nearer where you live on a regular basis or have other ideas about how we could pray - please contact Nik Gee.
