Ashburnham 2011Post card - front

Saturday 6 - 13 August

We have done this for so many years it is easy to take it for granted but we do think this year's Ashburnham may turn out to be the best yet.

A wonderful summer holiday in East Sussex in the stunning grounds of Ashburnham House. Treat yourself and go full board in the house or save some money and camp by the lake - either self-catering or eating in the house.

Some great people are coming to lead our thinking and children and enjoyment.

How to book

We now have a new booking system, if you require help or further information please email ashburnham@wharfedale-vineyard.org

Useful Information

Ashburnham Safeguarding Policy 2011

Ashburnham Programme 2011

Our main meetings will be in the Great Hall.

We have lightened the programme. The main reduction you will notice is that after morning refreshments there are no scheduled workshops or seminars. Some will wish to pick up a packed lunch and head for the coast or a trip into the countryside. Others will prefer to stay and explore the grounds or join in games, sports and swimming.

The Art Studio will remain accessible most of the time.

There will be lots of activities for the young people and they will have their own group which will meet in the evenings.

We will be sharing the house with a group from Icthus churches who will have just finished their annual conference and are staying on for a few days to discuss their International Missions.

There will be fewer marquees dotted around the grounds and so it will be much easier to enjoy the views and landscapes.

A new catering and conference manager has been brought in from previous employment in the NHS. She will have been in place for two years. Despite the challenges of being served by a mainly voluntary workforce, we expect to be well looked after.
