Bob's weekend
21-23 September 2007
Slack Top Centre, Hebden Bridge
Following Bob's most excellent weekends away at Beamsley and the West End Centre in recent years ("A group of men, a few mountain bikes, walking boots, curry, bunkbeds, drums, bibles, balls and a game with the sicilian mafia.") there will be another weekend for men this year: this time at the Slack Top Centre near Hebden Bridge on 21-23 September. The speaker this year will be James Barnett, curate at St George's in Leeds.
Remember the caption competition from last year? What is the commentary on these photos (click to zoom in)?

The format will be much the same - a relaxing time in which we can get to know both God and each other better, with the opportunity for some healthy exercise (not compulsory) thrown in for good measure.
We want to encourage as many men as possible to come on the weekend. In previous years those who have attended have found the experience of great value – it is a great opportunity to take time out and reflect on important issues. Please do sign up early to avoid disappointment - there are only 30 places available. The price is held at £50 for the 5th year running. Bursaries are available to help with the cost for those who are unable to afford it - just ask one of the GLT.
