Soap, suds and shock

Soap, suds and shock - the S words we'd most associate with our car washing at the Queen's Arms on Harrogate Road in Chapel Allerton. We washed about 20 cars and time and time again people expressed their shock and suprise that we really were washing their cars for free! We had A-boards advertising the car wash on Harrogate Road as well as a big banner and people pulled into the car park to find out more - giving the pub more business in the process! We have done a lot of reach out/servant evangelism in the past but this was probably the most impacting we have ever done. Nearly every person we washed for asked why and were were really interested when we told them God's love is free - and so was our car washing! We'll definitely be doing it again and if you're in a house group, we've got all the equipment, so why don't you give it a try too!
