Board of Trustees

The Wharfedale Vineyard is constituted as a limited company and as a charity. As such it is controlled by a board made up of people who are both trustees and directors. The church reports to the Charity Commission and to Companies House.

 

With the exception of the posts of chairperson and company secretary, the members of the board are appointed on an upaid and rotational basis, usually serving for a 3 - 4 year period.

Currently the board is made up of:

 

	David Flowers (Chair and Founding Pastor, a permanent position) who is the Senior Pastor and a director of a small firm of independent financial advisers.
	Anne Button (Company Secretary) who is the church administrator.
	Alex Holt (with responsibility for capital expenditure) who is an engineer at British Waterways.
	Judith Campbell (with responsibility for human resources) She has a background in business and now as a lawyer is well positioned to ensure that the quality of our employment practice is maintained at a high level.
	Ian Dowling (with responsibility for finance) who is a management accountant for the South Yorkshire Health Authority.
	Diana Smith (with responsibility for risk management). As a Health & Safety professional of many years' experience and having assisted us with Risk Management in the past, Diana is also a really good person for this role.
