Where do I fit in the Jigsaw?

God has a plan for your life

But how far have you got in finding out what it is?

We believe that part of finding out is to look at the way he has made you as an individual. God has given each person a unique set of spiritual gifts and passions. By discovering what they are, we can start to see what God’s purpose for us is.

But I’m not “gifted”

You may not feel like you are particularly gifted. Nonetheless, the Bible says clearly that God has given every single Christian at least one spiritual gift to be used for the benefit of others. The aim of the Jigsaw programme is to help you find out what your gifts are and then use them

What am I letting myself in for?

For some of you, Jigsaw will be a time of affirmation. You already have a sense about where and how to serve and the process will clarify and affirm your roles in church, work and the community.
For others, Jigsaw may be a time of challenge. Some of the ideas will cause you to rethink your understanding of the Kingdom of God and how to serve Him.
For everyone, we hope that Jigsaw will help you to become
“the right person... in the right place... for the right reasons”

Where did the idea for Jigsaw come from?

Much of the material used in this course was developed at Willow Creek Community Church in Illinois, America. Senior pastor Bill Hybels says it was “one of the most significant breakthroughs” in the history of their church. Since then it has been adapted and improved over eight years and used in a number of churches in America and Britain under the name “NetWork”. The Jigsaw programme adapts the material for use in England and incorporates further insights on spiritual gifts from other sources, most recently Tom Sine’s excellent book “Living on Purpose”. Over 250 people from ten churches in the Leeds area have already participated and 17 courses have been run in the area over 12 years. Jigsaw has also been used by churches in Wales and South America.
