Staying in the house

The house at Ashburnham has places for 238 people to stay.  Ashburnham contains a variety of accommodation with the most recently refurbished rooms providing hotel-quality twin and double bedrooms:

  • The ensuite rooms are mostly twin rooms, with some double and family rooms.

  • The small flats are accommodation where two bedrooms share a bathroom.

  • Standard rooms share bathrooms along a corridor. There are some twin, double, single and family rooms.

  • The dormitories each have four bunk beds.

  • Some of the rooms are large enough to accommodate a hideaway bed or mattress on the floor. These are charged at the standard rate.

Prices include 7 nights full board, all activities and use of the crèche facilities.

Although Ashburnham represents great value it is still a large commitment which some will struggle to make. We would love to be able to help everyone enjoy Ashburnham and so we run a support fund to which you can contribute if you have some surplus. An easy way of doing this is to pay an additional 10% on the booking fees which will be considered a charitable donation. These donations and the tax reclaimed may be used to help those who are less well off.

To allow a babysitting rota to be set up, families with young children are normally placed in rooms near each other.

Single rooms: There are a fair number of single rooms at the standard rate. Once these are fully booked, there is an option to

  • share a twin room with another person at the normal rate.

  • use a twin room as a single and pay a supplement.

Day visitors: There is a charge for visiting the Ashburnham holiday for the day which covers use of the facilities, materials lunch, dinner and refreshments and cake.

In order to keep costs as low as we possibly can, many of the people serving you for the Ashburnham week are unpaid volunteers. In recognition of the effort that they put in we would like to provide some thank-you gifts. On the final evening we will take up an offering to help with this.
