The Teen Toolkit

“If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times...”

Top teen coach Sarah Wilkins will lead a 1 hour “Teen Toolkit” seminar in the afternoon of 19th October at The Vine.  If you just want to go to this seminar, and not the rest of the day, plan to arrive at about 2pm for coffee and the introduction just prior to her seminar.   The seminar will include

·        An explanation of Choice Theory, and some practical guidelines

·        A case study about a troubled teen

·        Questions and answers

Seven steps

SarahWilkinsUsing a simple and effective seven step “Teen Toolkit” Sarah Wilkins and her colleague tame troubled teens and teach their parents, teachers and adults in their lives how to do the same. The system they use is simple and easy to implement including such topics as:

·        How to listen from your teens perspective

·        Respecting the person while disagreeing with the behaviour

·        Consequences versus punishment

·        Promoting responsibility through agreements

This ground breaking system has been used to train teachers, police officers, youth workers and has even been used in prisons so don’t tell us that it won’t work on your teen, or your teen is too bad, because we simply won’t believe you. A recent client came to them because her son had ran away from home and would not even speak to her, within four sessions the son was back at home and they were regularly spending quality time together.

Ex-police officer and ex-prison coach, both Sarahs have spent their lives with troubled teens. “We know what makes teens get into trouble and how to tame this troubled behaviour,” says Sarah Newton. Sarah Wilkins exclaims, “More than that, our system works because it came out of the mouths of these teens. We asked them what they needed from the adults in their lives and they told us. We want to share this with you”.

So if you have a teen that needs taming then there is only one thing to do. Call in the Teen Tamers.

What participants thought

"I am so inspired by your work, your skills and your passion for working with parents and teens. It speaks so loudly to me and I really do work so hard EVERYDAY at the "parent as coach" philosophy. And it is the real-life situations that give me the greatest opportunities to practice what I'm learning. I feel very, very blessed for my two "teachers", Allison and Ryan. They humble me and challenge me to be the best I can be... not just in parenting, but to just be a good human being.

I guess that was the other comment I wanted to make. The philosophy/process that was presented in Parent As Coach can so easily and most appropriately be used in ANY RELATIONSHIP!!!, not just with our teens! What I hope to learn from individuals like you and Diana (via her book!) and teach Al and Ry are skills they will also bring to their future relationships/friendships/families. If I could do that, then I know I did the best I could as a parent." Carol - life coach
