Child Contact Centre update

As many of you will be aware we have spent the last few months gaining accreditation for The Vine Child Contact Centre. This is now done and the Child Contact Centre is about to open. CCC logo

We have a great group of volunteers with lots of experience who are trained and ready to get stuck in. We have space still for a few more volunteers, especially some more men, as we take on more families. Anyone interested in volunteering please contact Cyndy Dowling or Fi Brazill.

On Saturday 28th January we did a test run of a morning session. The morning went well and there was a great atmosphere, and the children enjoyed the facilities.

If you have any good quality toys, puzzles, games, Wii games and would like to donate them please contact us. There is a full list of the type of toys needed on the website forum.

Prayer for the team that we will work well together and any issues resolved quickly and the last few details will all come together.
Saturday February 25th will be our first official session when we will be taking the families referred.
That as we go live on the NACCC website referrals will follow.
Prayer for the referrers that they will refer families to us for contact
For the families that they will engage with the process, and feel God’s love as we serve them.
March 7th we are having a launch when agencies, solicitors, CAFCASS and local councillors will be invited to come to the centre. The Lord Mayor has agreed to officially open the Child Contact Centre. Please pray that as we talk with other agencies we will show enthusiasm and God’s presence will be evident at the launch.
Most of all that the children will have a safe and fun time with the non-resident parent, in a warm welcoming environment. That the service we deliver to the families will be of an excellent standard.
