The Nature of the Kingdom course

Only one week to go until the start of the  course “The Nature of the Kingdom”, on Monday 22 February. The course will run on five Monday evenings, from 8 pm to 10 pm.

What is the Kingdom of God? Where can we find it? How does it work? Is it here already, or is it still to come? What consequences does this understanding of God's action and presence inthe world have for our lives? It is these and other questions that we will seek to explore over the duration of the course.

Over five sessions, the course will explore the basics of the idea of the Kingdom, which is also a key distinctive of Vineyard theology and the way Vineyards go about doing ministry and mission.

The course is accredited through the Vineyard Biblical Institute, and when you register for it you will have the opportunity to gain credits towards a School of Ministry Certificate in Kingdom Theology by completing an on-line multiple choice questionnaire. We will be running the second course in the certificate, called The Ministry of the Kingdom, on Saturday mornings from the 6th of February, and will repeat it in the summer term.

Each session will begin with about 45 minutes of a DVD of Derek Morphew's teaching, then a break with refreshments, then 45 - 50 minutes of discussion and debate in various formats, facilitated by Erik Peeters.

We will charge a fee of £20, which will cover the cost of the course booklet, the on-line administration, and refreshments. You can pay in advance by contacting the office, or pay at the door.
