Five Love Languages for Friday Night Parents
The Five Love Languages of children is the topic for Friday Night Parents on 11th December, 7.30pm. On the sofas upstairs at the Vineyard Centre.
The Beatles sang, "All you need is love" and we do love our children. But just isn't as easy as that for the kids to know that you do. People naturally give and receive love in distinct and often conflicting ways. An extremely helpful way of understanding this is through the five love languages ( time, words, gifts, service and touch). With illustrations from her own story, Alison will help you understand the love languages spoken by you and your children, and find practical ways to get better at this vital part of communication in your family.
Alison is an artist, mother of two grown up boys with different love languages, and helps to lead Wharfedale Vineyard.
The Five Love Languages will the topic at Friday Night Parents 7.30-9.30pm on 11th December 2009. We meet on the sofas upstairs at the Vineyard Centre, 5 Sheepscar Court, LS7 2BB. |
