When parenting throws a wobbly
Chris and Dawn Thompson were the special guests who told their story at the second of our special evenings called Friday Night Parents. With the aim of picking up tips from people who have "been there before", Friday Night Parents offers a forum to discuss some very practical issues that arise when parenting young people. Chris and Dawn told their story of the ups and downs of parenting teenagers - when things don't entirely go to plan - and some things they learnt along the way. Chris and Dawn lead an IT training company based in Pateley Bridge. They have two daughters who each have young children of their own.
Coinciding with the Friday Night Project youth club on 10th July 2009 at 7.30pm-9.30pm, we meet on the sofas upstairs at the Vineyard Centre, 5 Sheepscar Court, LS7 2BB.
The evening will include
- Light refreshments
- Chris and Dawn telling their story and sharing what they learnt
- An informal discussion around the topics that come up in the story
The evening is open to everyone (your children don't have to be teenagers yet, and you don't have to be involved in church). There is no charge.
