South Africa 2009 feedback
On Saturday 4 April 2009, 9 adults and 6 children flew out to Johannesburg in South Africa to work with the AIDS project Emthonjeni.

What did we do?
- Home visits with the caregivers – follow up to patients on an anti-retroviral drug treatment programme, planting vegetable seeds in their gardens for them.
- Worked in the vegetable garden clearing the weeds, planting new seeds and watering the plants
- Built a compost heap
- Helped to look after up to 80 children, prepare and serve them lunch, teach them bible stories, played games with them
- Helped to cook lunch for the patients
- Started up morning devotions with the staff each day, and got them leading it by the time we left
- Laughed a lot!
- Went on a short safari trip over the Easter weekend!
