Out and about: the Harewood Round

harewood mudOn Sunday 21st September, meeting at 10.30am, the Out and About group and their guests will take a walk around the outskirts of the Harewood estate, with a picnic lunch overlooking the valleys.   It is one of several options available on the third Sunday.

Meet at the large metal gates near Cote Hill on the A61 two miles north of the Grammar School.  There is a small car park in the road just opposite the gates.  There is no charge for this car park, and we will not be entering the "pay-to-enter" part of the Harewood estate.

We will be taking a circular route that is just short of 5 miles in total, including about 100m ascent.  The route is mostly on paths, but there are occasional muddy bits, so strong shoes or wellies are a good idea.  Don't forget to bring your own picnic, which we will have about two- thirds of the way round.

Response

Please let us know if you plan to do the Harewood Round with us on 21st September.  We'll wait for you at the starting point unless you tell us you've changed your mind.  If you provide your mobile number we'll let you know if there is a change of plan due to bad weather.
