Housegroup Ground Force!
This week, Nik and Maggie's housegroup met to tidy up and restore the garden of a lady living just a couple of minutes from the Vineyard Centre. Following a recent accident she has been unable to do anything herself, so we jumped at the chance to help out.
We cut the hedges, cleared out loads of weeds, discovered some strawberries hidden in some brambles, and raked, hoed & trimmed till it looked great. We even chopped down a tree for her next door neighbour!
Our aim was to show God's love in a very simple way. We just wanted to be a blessing - no hidden agendas, no preaching, just Love in Action. |

She couldn't believe that we did it all for free & loved her garden so much that she sat out in it with her neighbour until 3am!
Her response was: "what a lovely bunch of people, they were wonderful!"
She was amazed that we prayed for her, she really needed to know that there were people out there that would show her love and acceptance and a Father that loves her right where she is.
