Hazel's story

After 20 years of tempestuous marriage, I told my husband I wanted a divorce. I didn’t believe in God but he must’ve done because he prayed that God would save our marriage. Within a few days God sent a Christian to our house and he had something special.

I didn’t know what it was but I used to call it “the shine”. We started going to church and both realised that we were very self-centred. We started to practise forgiving and cherishing each other and our marriage was gradually restored, so that when Ken died seven years ago after a further 24 years together, we had become very dear to each other.
