 'Out and about' in Riffa Woods
This Sunday 18th May, the Out and About group and their guests of all ages are taking a short walk to have a picnic among the bluebells in Riffa Woods, near Leathley.
To give Soccer School people time to get there, we will meet at 11am. Fill in the form below to let us know you are coming - or just turn up on time!
Hopefully there will be less mud than last month's walk in Hetchell Woods, but strong shoes are still advisable, and the walk isn't really suitable for buggies. It is less than 2 miles to the lunch spot, with a shorter return route. The really keen can take a longer route back by the river.
Don't forget to bring a picnic.
To get to Leathley, travel on the A658 from Pool in Wharfedale towards Harrogate. Turn left on the B6161 towards Leathley. In just over a mile, just before entering Leathley village, find somewhere to park (usually there is parking on one side of the road). You should see the church with a square tower. The walk starts opposite the church. If you get lost, or are running late, call David Wallace on his mobile.
