Bob goes for a walk

BOB is going walking in the Lake District on 31 May 2008, followed by some welcome refreshment and dinner at a lakeland hostelry, and would like you to come along.

The Lake District is a beautiful part of the country and only two hours drive from Leeds. There is fantastic scenery, great hiking and plenty of fresh air. The plan will be to leave Leeds early on the morning of 31 May (i.e. about 7:30ish) and be "on the fells" by around 10am. We'll be car sharing so transport can be arranged, with a contribution (no more than £10) for petrol.

We're hoping to enjoy a decent 10-12 mile hike, hopefully taking in some of the higher fells at close to 3000 feet, then stop at a lakeland pub for dinner before returning home later in the evening (probably arriving back in Leeds around 10pm). Further details soon, please contact Steve Nixon if you'd like to come along or if you want more information.
